Powerful activation without DMPT
In the world of industrial adhesives, activators are indispensable tools for accelerating the curing of adhesives and achieving the best results. Their use is necessary in sub-optimal environmental conditions, such as cold, low humidity and thick adhesive layers. Pre-treatment with an adhesive activator is also recommended when bonding highly absorbent and porous surfaces and inactive materials.
The latest generation of WIKO® ACTIVATORS scores with an improved formulation that does not contain the toxic ingredient N,N-dimethyl-p-toluidine (DMPT). This means we can offer you high-performance products that are not only efficient but also less toxic.
Why the new formulation is important
Adapting our activators to the European Commission's latest CLP-regulation was not only a response to legal requirements, but also a step towards greater user protection. From September 2025, DMPT will be classified with the H-phrase H350 "May cause cancer" in accordance with the 21st ATP (Adaptation to Technical Progress) and products will therefore be banned from free trade. The new activator sprays from WIKO are free from N,N-dimethyl-p-toluidine (DMPT) and are therefore still permitted for free trade to private end users after 25 September 2025. With the new formula of our WIKO® ACTIVATORS you are already well prepared today and benefit from the following advantages:
