BLOCK BOND®

User information
To use BLOCK BOND® and BLOCK BOND® FAST, you need cartridges and mixing systems that have been tested and approved by GLUETEC. Please only use the appropriate DPM200M_green dispensing gun, which has been specially developed for the cartridge. The use of other mixing nozzles or dispensing guns constitutes improper use and may damage the cartridge. This is expressly not a reason for complaint. Avoid skin contact with the uncured adhesive and wear protective clothing.
Pre-treatment
The healthy claw to be bonded is cut to size so that the bonding surface is as flat as possible. Notching or roughening the surface increases the adhesion of the adhesive to the claw. Any imperfections can be filled with the adhesive up to a gap size of 6-10 mm. The surface should be clean and dust-free, ideally dry, with a maximum of residual moisture, but under no circumstances wet.
All work steps, from applying the adhesive to pressing the block onto the claw, must be completed within the processing time. The processing time for BLOCK BOND® is 15–20 seconds, for BLOCK BOND® SEMI-FAST 10–14 seconds and for BLOCK BOND® FAST 6–10 seconds.
Application with the 200 ml Double cartridge
- Open transparent twist cap by turning it a quarter turn to the left and remove it from the cartridge. Do not throw away the screw cap.
- Remove the green cap from the cartridge.
- Put on the static mixing tube. Make sure that the guide tabs are correctly aligned.
- Then replace the transparent screw cap over the mixing tube and close it by turning it a quarter of the way to the right until the cap audibly clicks into place.
- Briskly squeeze out adhesive with a suitable 1:1 dispensing gun to fill the mixing tube. Discard approximately the amount of one mixing tube until a homogeneous mixing pattern is obtained.
