The latest generation of this GREEN LINE two-component polyurethane adhesive offers an exceptionally short curing time for maximum efficiency in claw care.

Low or uneven hoof wear, as well as overloading of individual hooves, causes pain and can reduce a livestock animal’s productivity. This often leads to conditions such as Mortellaro disease, sole ulcers, sole hemorrhages, etc. Only through regular, professional hoof trimming can diseases be prevented and the healing process of affected cattle be supported. If hoof trimming does not sufficiently relieve pressure on the affected hoof, a special wooden hoof block is glued to the hoof. Hoof blocks are the most important tool for achieving rapid and effective pain relief for affected hooves.

This is precisely where the BLOCK BOND® hoof adhesive from the GLUETEC GROUP sets entirely new standards for claw care specialists. BLOCK BOND® ensures that the block adheres firmly to the hoof—allowing the cow to walk with less pain and giving the hoof enough time to heal. The two-component polyurethane adhesive was developed specifically for claw care and provides optimal bonding, even under the challenging conditions found in the barn. It is available in two versions: the standard BLOCK BOND® with a 10–20-second Processing Time and, now new, the faster BLOCK BOND® FAST with a Processing Time of just 6–10 seconds. The latter achieves secure Adhesion and speeds up the Claw care process—making work more comfortable for both people and animals.

Formulation Without Potentially Carcinogenic Ingredients
The main advantage of BLOCK BOND®, developed at the GLUETEC GROUP’s German facility, over other hoof adhesives available on the market is that it is without potentially carcinogenic ingredients. This is gentler on both the User and the cow. The complete elimination of hazard label H351—“May cause cancer”—is a breakthrough for both the user and the cow. BLOCK BOND® is one of the most user- and cow-friendly hoof adhesives on the market, making the GLUETEC GROUP a pioneer in the sector of user-friendly hoof adhesives.

No Training Certification Required
for Diisocyanates Users benefit from yet another advantage when using BLOCK BOND® hoof adhesives. Extensive training (“isocyanate license”), which became mandatory for all users as of August 24, 2023, to ensure the safe use of diisocyanates, is not required for either BLOCK BOND® adhesive. Because the concentration of diisocyanates—both individually and in combination—is low, i.e., less than 0.1 percent by weight, no additional training is required for their use. Products from other manufacturers that exceed this limit have been permitted for industrial or commercial use since the summer of 2023 only if proof of successful training in the safe use of diisocyanates is provided.

Application is quick and easy.
The adhesive is applied to a suitable wooden block and then pressed onto the claw. Thanks to the short Processing Time, a quick and secure bond is guaranteed. With BLOCK BOND®, treatment is complete in a maximum of 4 minutes, and the claw can bear weight again. With the new formulation of BLOCK BOND® FAST, Processing Time is reduced to a maximum of 90 seconds. Another key benefit is the wide temperature range of -10 °C to +30 °C during application of BLOCK BOND®. This means the Adhesive can be used even in winter at low temperatures. With a Shelf Life of 18 months, BLOCK BOND® clearly stands out from other adhesives available on the market.
