The history of the GLUETEC GROUP is shaped by entrepreneurial spirit, technical advancement, and consistent investment in the future. What began in 1997 with the founding of WIKO e.K. in Germany has developed over more than 25 years into an internationally oriented group of companies for adhesives, sealants, aerosols, cleaners, hygiene products, and integrated adhesive solutions.
Today, the GLUETEC GROUP is one of the leading manufacturers and system providers for adhesives in Europe. As a hidden champion in the B2B environment, GLUETEC combines established trading expertise with in-house development, modern production, and specialized services along the value chain.
MILESTONES IN THE COMPANY'S HISTORY
From adhesive distributor to manufacturer and system provider
The company's origins lie in the founding of WIKO e.K. in 1997. Just a few years later, the founding of GLUETEC GmbH & Co. KG in 2000 marked an important strategic step. GLUETEC built up expertise in the field of industrial adhesives early on and continuously developed from a trading company into a provider of holistic adhesive solutions.
A key milestone was the construction of the current company headquarters in Greußenheim in 2004. With the investment in the first automated filling system, the foundation was laid for the further expansion of in-house production and filling expertise. The founding of WIKO KLEBETECHNIK Sp. z o.o. in Poland in 2005 further strengthened the international orientation and created new opportunities in production, assembly, contract filling, and contract manufacturing.
Brands, technologies, and in-house product development
With the brand launch of WELDYX® MMA structural adhesives in 2009, GLUETEC sent a clear signal for technical adhesive solutions in demanding industrial applications. The company consistently continued to develop its role as an adhesive expert and strategically expanded its portfolio.
In 2011, the service offering was expanded to include private label design, packaging technology, and assembly. This increasingly positioned GLUETEC as a full-service partner for customers from industry, trades, and retail. From product selection to containers, labeling, and contract filling, through to assembly and shipping, GLUETEC supports its customers with practical adhesive expertise and flexible solutions.
In 2012, the sales location GLUETEC d.o.o. in Slovenia was established, along with the merger of the German locations WIKO and GLUETEC. This step combined expertise, brands, and sales structures and strengthened their joint market position.
Continuous investments in production, research, and market positioning
The GLUETEC GROUP has always driven its development through targeted investments. In 2016, the new production site in Poland was completed. Extensive investments in a new machinery park strengthened production capacities and laid the foundation for further growth.
In 2018, the three locations in Germany, Poland, and Slovenia were merged into the GLUETEC GROUP. This created a group of companies that interconnected development, production, sales, and services even more closely.
Another strategic milestone followed in 2019 with the investment in a new research and development laboratory in Greußenheim. The goal was the targeted expansion of the development of user-friendly polyurethane adhesives. In the same year, the BLOCK BOND® brand of hoof adhesives for cattle was relaunched with its own PU formulation. In doing so, GLUETEC underlined its claim not only to trade products, but also to develop its own high-performance formulations for specific applications.
New markets, new technologies, new capacities
From 2024 onward, GLUETEC sharpened its focus on specialized applications and future-oriented product areas. With HOOF FIX, a new brand for bonding horse hoof shoes was introduced. At the same time, a new product division for cleaners and hygiene products was created under WIKO. This includes, among other things, highly effective cleaners as well as products for operational hygiene, such as hand-washing pastes with perlite. They complement the existing portfolio of chemical-technical products for users in industry and the trades.
An important step on the production side was also prepared in 2024: modernization measures were implemented at the Polish site and neighboring properties were acquired. In this way, GLUETEC is creating the basis for specifically expanding future production capacities and serving increasing demand even more flexibly.
In the same year, production in Poland was expanded with a new fully automatic filling system for 2K adhesives. This investment increases capabilities in contract manufacturing and consolidates the position of the GLUETEC GROUP as a reliable partner for industrial adhesive production, contract filling, and private label solutions.
With the acquisition of the GLUETEC group of companies by ORYX CHEMICAL in 2025, a new chapter in the company's history begins – based on a strong brand, established adhesive expertise, and a clear focus on industrial customer requirements.
In 2026, PURYX® polyurea adhesives followed as a technological milestone from the GLUETEC laboratory. This innovative adhesive technology stands for user-friendly formulations and positions itself as an alternative to MMA adhesives. In this way, GLUETEC is further expanding its expertise in the field of user-friendly products and strengthening the transformation from a traditional adhesive supplier into a development-driven manufacturer of modern adhesive technologies.

Today, the GLUETEC GROUP stands for integrated adhesive solutions in the B2B environment. The company combines many years of experience in trading chemical products for bonding and sealing with in-house development, high-performance formulations, modern filling technology, and practical services.
As a system provider, GLUETEC supports customers with product specification, container selection, product design, private label, contract filling, contract labeling, assembly, and shipping. The products are used in a wide variety of areas – from production to maintenance and repair, right through to servicing.
