Ultrasonic degreasing

Ultrasonic degreasing is a process that is used in many areas of industry to clean components and workpieces. The process is based on the application of ultrasonic waves in a cleaning medium to loosen dirt particles from the surface.

In the ultrasonic bath, the parts to be cleaned are placed in the cleaning medium, which can contain different chemical components depending on the application. The ultrasonic waves create pressure waves in the medium that create tiny bubbles that, when they collapse, trigger tiny cleaning impulses on the surface of the parts to be cleaned. In this way, dirt particles are effectively removed from the surface.

The process has the advantage that it can reach hard-to-reach places and remove even the smallest particles that could not be removed in a conventional manner. Cleaning with ultrasonic degreasing is also gentler on the surface than other cleaning methods as it does not cause scratches or damage.
