1-C adhesives are easy-to-use, solvent-based adhesives that consist of only one component and are ready to use without mixing.

1C PU adhesives contain moisture-reactive binders. These consist of an isocyanate-containing prepolymer which reacts with the water from the air to form PU by splitting off CO².

2-C adhesives are high performance adhesives that consist of two components and must be mixed before use. 

In 2C-polyurethane adhesives, the resin component consists of polyols and the hardener components of isocyanates, which react to form polyurethanes after mixing.
