Line loading

One speaks of a linear load or peel load when the load is only distributed over one line and not over the entire adhesive surface. This occurs, for example, when removing an adhesive tape and detaches the adhesive surface from the material. A linear load should be avoided at all costs in order to maintain the durability of a bond.
