Inhibitors

Inhibitors are chemical substances that reduce the reactivity of materials and substances by reducing or preventing the rate of chemical reactions. They are often used to prevent undesirable chemical reactions such as corrosion or polymerisation and can also be used as catalyst poisons to reduce or inhibit the activity of catalysts. Inhibitors find applications in a variety of industries including chemical, materials science, medicine, food processing and environmental protection.
