SMP

SMP (Silyl Modified Polymers) adhesives are a type of adhesives made on the basis of silane-modified polymers. These adhesives are characterized by their high bond strength, flexibility and weather resistance and are widely used in many industrial applications.

In the construction industry, SMP adhesives are used in various applications, such as the connection of facade elements, the sealing of windows and doors, the bonding of roofing membranes and the laying of floor coverings. Because of their excellent weather resistance and flexibility, they are also popular in the automotive and marine industries, where they are used for bonding body panels and sealing materials.

SMP adhesives also have the benefit of adhering to many different surfaces including metal, glass, plastic and wood. They are easy to apply and have a short drying time, resulting in quick processing and assembly.

Another advantage of SMP adhesives is that they have a low environmental impact and in many cases are considered an environmentally friendly alternative to other adhesives. They contain no solvents and have low VOC (volatile organic compound) emissions, making them an attractive option for indoor applications.

Overall, SMP adhesives are a versatile and robust choice for industrial applications, particularly in areas where weather resistance, flexibility and bond strength are required. They also offer environmental benefits and can provide a more sustainable alternative to other adhesives.
